New market drivers reshaping European and Nordic power prices

Register for New market drivers reshaping European and Nordic power prices

European and Nordic power markets are entering a new phase. Traditional price drivers still matter, but they are now being reshaped by structural shifts in renewables, hydrology patterns, cross border flows, policy changes, and evolving market design.

In this webinar, Josephine Steppat (Montel Energy Brainpool) and Liubov Koroleva (Montel SysPower) bring together pan European and Nordic expertise to unpack what is really moving prices today and what will matter next.

You will gain a clear, data-driven understanding of how key drivers interact over time, shaping long-term structural developments in the market. The session connects fundamentals to price formation, helping you translate market developments into actionable insights for trading, hedging, and forecasting. It will also highlight the changes that have been incorporated between updates to the power price scenarios and the impact this will have on electricity prices.

What we will cover:

  • The new fundamentals shaping price formation, including renewables buildout, weather volatility, hydrology shifts, and residual load dynamics.

  • How cross border flows, market coupling, and congestion are redefining regional price relationships

  • The growing impact of policy, regulation, and energy transition dynamics on long term expectations

  • Key differences between European and Nordic market drivers, and where they are converging
How to interpret these drivers using Montel Analytics data, forecasts, and scenarios for the long term horizons

Who should attend:

  • Portfolio managers managing exposure across regions and time horizons

  • Traders needing clearer context behind price movements
